As of June 22nd, 2014 the vineyards landscape of Piedmont, in Italy, has been included in the Unesco World Heritage List. It took almost 10 years from the very first initiative to the declaration of inclusion as well as several visits by the Unesco Committee. The area was in fact pretty large and never before such an extensive territory was nominated.
A garden reborn: Venarìa Reale
Venaria Reale is a mighty Hunting Lodge, built in the 1600s by the former Italian Royal Family, just outside the city of Torino, the capital of the Kingdom. The gardens underwent an incredibly well conceived project to take them back to their original splendour based on the gardening styles used to renovate them through the centuries… with a touch of contemporary art also.
