Oman: a gentle winter
A couple of years ago I spent my Christmas break in Oman, a Country in the Arab Peninsula bordering Saudi Arabia, the UA and Yemen. I toured a lot the east and south east of the Country starting from the capital city, Muscat, passing by the former capital, Nizwa, down to the sand desert close to the village of Bidiyah, and I spent the night in the desert.

for Christmas I received a basket filled with delicacies from the all over Italy, including Olive Oil from Sicily, a very big slice of Parmigiano Reggiano, a big salami from Felino, Polenta from the Dolomites and, among other types of pasta, a big box of Paccheri Napoletani, so I decided to cook them for my New Year's Eve dinner.
