How far can we go with Photoshop?
Although I understand there is an Art behind graphic design, I believe it should be limited to minimal adjustments when photos are concerned. From my point of view, an excessive digital manipulation of a picture turn a place or a landscape into a destination which does not exist and makes our expectations grow beyond reality.
Villa Altair and Mazara del Vallo: a pleasant surprise in Sicily.
When I planned my tour of Sicily I thought I would see as much as possible of it, thus I needed to well balance driving time and allocate reasonable visiting time at every stop, including overnights. Mazara del Vallo was a big surprise which exceeded my expectations thus I stayed too short.
The art of ceramic in Sicily: Caltagirone
Although my grand tour of Sicily was pretty much along the coastline, I decided to add a short detour to the mainland to visit the homeland of hand made ceramic: the city of Caltagirone.
Incredible Taj Mahal
In 2018 I decided to spend my Christmas Holidays in India. Having just a couple of weeks at my disposal I had to decide which area of the Country I could visit. I choose Rajastan, the north west region, but obviously as my entry gate was Delhi which is not far from Agra, I also included the Incredible Taj Mahal in my visit.
Palazzo Madama: where Italy became a Nation
Palazzo Madama is a National Monument. Before being a Museum, hosting a prominent collection which spans from the Romanesque and Gothic artifacts, to the local Renaissance paitings and the Baroque architecture, it is one of the oldest building in town, as well as one of the oldest in Italy.
