Florence is not only the cradle of the Italian language, but also the place where arts and architecture are so overwhelming that Stendhal coined the phrase “Syndrome of Florence” (aka Stendhal Syndrome) to identify that kind of sickness that affects very sensitive people before an art masterpiece.
Summer is approaching and, although some social distancing will still be necessary, the Italians will re-start one of their most pleasant traditions: the “Aperitivo”. It is tipically Italian, although it is nowadays pretty common in several Countries around the world, especially in the Mediterranean sea. It’s a simple way to spare some time with our dearest friends, our work mates, our families, sharing a drink and some snacks before having lunch or dinner.
Don't let the lockdown discourage you from traveling. Although there will be some restrictions and limitation in the near future, this current crisis won't last forever.
