Galleria dell'Industria Subalpina" is one of my favourite places in Turin. Its elegance and its nice atmosphere makes it perfect for a break between two of the most crowded Piazzas in town.
There is a chance now, to discover a large portion of the records of Turin by joining a guided tour promoted by a group of Local Guides
My latest bike tour took me to the so called "rivers junction park" located at the north west corner of the city.
Last time I wrote about a bike tour of Turin I described the amazing Park of Valentino and its attractions. This time I took a completely different route, 90% of which on reserved bike lanes which led me from my home, close to Piazza Statuto (Constitution square), one of the most important hubs of the city, straight to the Hunting Lodge of Stupinigi, just outside the city borders, 11 km to the south (6 miles).
There are several attractions inside the park of Valentino, in Turin. Take a bike ride in it and the more you pedal the more you see and discover.
Venaria Reale is a mighty Hunting Lodge, built in the 1600s by the former Italian Royal Family, just outside the city of Torino, the capital of the Kingdom. The gardens underwent an incredibly well conceived project to take them back to their original splendour based on the gardening styles used to renovate them through the centuries… with a touch of contemporary art also.
I like to share with you some pictures I took in these past few days. Fortunately the weather in Italy is very good in these days, the sky is as blue as can be, the sun shines and warms up pleasantly and strolling around is one of those simple pleasures I always underestimated.
